Beverley Owen of The Munsters
One our favorite shows of course was The Munsters. Who wouldn't love to live in that house. Yvonne DeCarlo was certainly a hot vampire mom, but the first Marilynn was the one I remember most. Her name was Beverley Owen and she was only in the first season. I like Pat Priest but Beverley was the one to watch.

Phoebe Cates
A boy has a pet that isn't supposed to get wet..blah, blah, blah. The real reason to watch Gremlims is Phoebe Cates. This 1984 Joe Dante flick is a clasic. The "bad" Gremlins are the best, especially Stripe! The bar scene bears closer inspection because all kinds of crazy drunkin antics in the background. We loved Phoebe in Fast Times at Ridgemont High of course but Gremlins has the monster angle we all love so much.

THEM!
Atomic testing leads to mutant ants. While the special effects weren't great, the premise was. The reality is that a colony of car sized ants with their cold efficeincy would rule over humans in about 3 weeks..just like the borg. The 1954 horror / sci fi movie THEM! has lots of recognizable actors like Leonard Nimoy, Fess Parker, James Arness and James Whitmore. Of course, in the end, man defeats mutants.
