Phoebe Cates

A boy has a pet that isn't supposed to get wet..blah, blah, blah. The real reason to watch Gremlims is Phoebe Cates. This 1984 Joe Dante flick is a clasic. The "bad" Gremlins are the best, especially Stripe! The bar scene bears closer inspection because all kinds of crazy drunkin antics in the background. We loved Phoebe in Fast Times at Ridgemont High of course but Gremlins has the monster angle we all love so much.

THEM!

Atomic testing leads to mutant ants. While the special effects weren't great, the premise was. The reality is that a colony of car sized ants with their cold efficeincy would rule over humans in about 3 weeks..just like the borg. The 1954 horror / sci fi movie THEM! has lots of recognizable actors like Leonard Nimoy, Fess Parker, James Arness and James Whitmore. Of course, in the end, man defeats mutants. This movie should be remade today. If you love mutants, you have to check out www.goremaster.com

Suzanne Pleshette in The Birds

"The Birds" is a classic Alfred Hitchcock flick from 1963. In it, a high maintenance socialite Melanie Daniels (played by Tippi Hedren) is shopping in a San Francisco pet store when she meets Mitch Brenner (played by Rod Taylor). She follows him up to the seemingly quiet coastal town of Bodega Bay, where Mitch kicks back on weekends with his sister and nutty mother. Shortly after she arrives, Melanie is attacked by a gull, but this is just the start of a series of attacks by an increasing number of birds. While Mitch and Melanie are hanging out, he overlooks the woman who really wants him...Annie Hayworth who is played by the always hot Suzanne Pleshette. Once again, a dumb ass goes after some pain in the ass chick when he could have the girl that would do anything for him. We admired Ms. Pleshette in The Bob Newhart Show and even an episode of Wild, Wild West and well as countless movies. A reminder to guys, turn around and look at the hot girl who really wants you instead of chasing a pain in the ass girl who'll eventually make your life miserable. Linda Blair - Horror Chick

Linda Blair is probably most famous for her role as the possessed child in The Exorcist. She was denied the Academy Award because her voice was dubbed and a dummy was used in many scenes. She should have won just for being wicked scary(read all about it at http://www.goremaster.com/)
Linda had originally planned to be a doctor but was offered The Exorcist role. Hmmm..an exam from Dr. Blair. You would probably also enjoy seing her in Canned Heat, a story about a womens prison. Need I say more?
She also had a featured role in the disaster film Airport '75 and in many films with a horror theme. In 1990, she spoofed her "Exorcist" character in the film Repossessed that also starred Leslie Nielsen. In the late 1990s, Blair won wide acclaim for her performance in the stage revival of Grease. Linda Blair has long been active in charities involving prevention of cruelty to animals such as PETA.

Lara Parker in Race with the Devil

Movies about Devil worship have been freaking people (and me) out for years. I would rather face Frankenstein than a bunch of Devil worshipers. One movie that put the fear of god in me as a kid was the 1975 horror action movie "Race with the Devil". Peter Fonda and Warren Oates take their wives on an RV trip only to witness a satanic cult's sacrifice of a pretty girl. The 4 then spend the rest of the flick finding out that the entire county seems to be part of the cult. Can't trust anybody! One of the bonuses is seeing Lara Parker and Loretta Swit in bikini's. The special effects were done by an up and comer named Richard Helmer who would later gain fame with blockbusters like Apocalypse Now, Airplane, Childs play, Armageddon, Jeepers Creepers 2, Sphere and Spiderman 2. This movie is worth renting when you need a good dose of paranoia! By the way, you may recognize the beautiful Lara Parker from the 1970's horror soap opera "Dark Shadows".

Linda Evans as Audra Barkley

The Big Valley was a great TV show from the 1960's. Lee Majors as the cool Heath Barkley, Peter Breck as the "never back down" Nick Barkley and of course the bonus was seeing Linda Evans as the super hot Audra Barkley.

Adrienne Barbeau

Adrienne Barbeau makes all her movies better just by being on screen. For more of her I suggest renting Escape from New York with badass Kurt Russell as Snake Plisken. She also "brings alot" to movies like The Fog, Swamp Thing (both have wicked SFX- see more at http://www.goremaster.com/
Adrienne even made the TV show Maude almost bearable as an adolescent teen. Adrienne, we salute you.
